Jan

Jan hails from a small farming community in Washington state, where, as a child, she gazed at contrails streaking across the sky, igniting a lifelong wanderlust. That spark has taken her to every continent except Antarctica, weaving a tapestry of experiences across diverse cultures and landscapes. With over 35 years as a flight attendant for a major U.S. carrier, flying both domestic and international routes, Jan brings a wealth of insider knowledge. From hidden gems to practical travel tips, her insights help you navigate the world with confidence and ease.

Paul

Paul, a Boston native and son of a legendary Boston Celtics player, coach, and broadcaster, spent his early career as a “road warrior,” crisscrossing the U.S. with 3-4 flights a week. He mastered the art of handling missed flights, weather delays, and the chaos of bustling airports. Later, Paul channeled his curiosity into technology, becoming a software developer with a knack for leveraging tech to enhance travel. His analytical mind and problem-solving skills bring a unique perspective to planning seamless adventures.

Together, Jan and Paul are inseparable soulmates and partners in crime, united by their love for travel and each other. With The Wide Eyed Wanderers, they invite you to join their journey, sharing stories, tips, and hard-earned wisdom to inspire your own adventures.
